Artwork & Homeware Care

To ensure the longevity and vibrancy of your original artwork or hand-painted homeware, please follow the care guidelines below. Each piece is crafted with care and intention—treating it with the same respect will help preserve its beauty for years to come.

General Display Guidelines

  • Avoid direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to UV light may cause fading or discolouration over time. Display your artwork or decorative objects away from strong, direct light.

  • Keep away from damp environments: Avoid placing pieces in areas with high humidity such as bathrooms or poorly ventilated kitchens, as moisture can damage paint and materials.

  • Use appropriate hanging hardware: For larger canvases, use secure wall fixings and avoid hanging above heat sources like radiators or fireplaces.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Original Artwork:

    • Dust gently using a soft, dry, lint-free cloth or a clean feather duster.

    • Do not use cleaning sprays, water, or chemical products on the surface.

    • Avoid touching the painted surface directly to prevent oils from your hands transferring onto the work.

  • Homeware (e.g., vases, trays, decorative items):

    • Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth.

    • Do not soak, scrub, or place in a dishwasher.

    • For hand-painted surfaces, treat as delicate: avoid excessive friction or contact with abrasive materials.

Framing & Finishing Tips

  • For unframed canvases or paper works, consider professional framing to protect and elevate the piece.

  • Use non-reflective glass or UV-protective acrylic for works on paper if framing under glass.

  • If your artwork includes metallic elements or texture, keep it in a dust-free environment for best presentation.

Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.

  • Avoid stacking or placing items directly on top of each other to prevent scratches or pressure marks.

  • Keep artwork stored upright if possible, and wrapped in acid-free tissue or bubble wrap.
